Dell has introduced a new addition to its popular Vostro laptop line today: the 15.6″ Vostro A860 notebook. It has revamped styling, and comes with some new twists including “HD” resolution (1366×768) and S-Video & IEEE 1394 (firewire) ports. The initial offering doesn’t have much variety in configuration options, but the price seems quite decent for an entry level laptop. You can get a Vostro A860 Notebook with a Celeron M560 processor for $429. Here are the full specs:

  • Intel Celeron M M560 (2.13GHz, 1M L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB)
  • Windows Vista Home Basic, Service Pack 1, English
  • 1GB DDR2,800MHZ

Alternatively, there’s another Vostro A860 configuration for $439 that comes with 4GB Datatraveller USB Key. It’s otherwise identical to the one above.
